Ozzy Day -- Part 2!
Ozzy was delivered to us over the noon hour yesterday and we are completely over the moon! At first, he was a little sad and it appeared he missed his litter mates. However, by the end of the night, he was chasing the kids around in the yard and he has been glued to Chef Daddy ever since! Yep -- my manly man husband is completely in love with this furry little guy! He finally has someone to lay around and watch football with him! Although Ozzy spent the first eight weeks of his life in the country, I think he is pretty happy living in the city now!
On an unrelated note, we have a fun and relaxing weekend to look forward to. Kamree and I are starting a mommy and me tumbling tykes class at the Y tomorrow morning. She is constantly doing somersaults in the house so I think she will really enjoy it. The boys are headed to the Home Depot kids workshop later that morning. Other than watching the Huskers play that night, that pretty much sums up our weekend.
Here are a few pictures from Ozzy's first day with us! I hope everyone has a fun weekend!

This was his favorite place to hang out,
The weather was beautiful -- 65 degrees and sunny!
Ozzy was waiting for him!
I had already called Grandma Debbie earlier in the day!

Ozzy Day!
Did I recently say that I would not be potty training a new puppy during the winter time? Well, you are right -- I am eating my BIG fat words! Let me do a little explaining though.
A couple of weeks ago, we found a dog in our neighborhood that needed a good home. She was a black golden doodle with curly hair. When I found out that her name was Izzy, I knew it was fate and that she was meant to be our dog. However, when she arrived at our house, I immediately knew she couldn't be our dog. SHE WAS PART HORSE! She weighed 50 pounds and her feet were almost as big as mine. Even though she was big, the boys fell in love with her. She laid down in the man cave and watched football with Chef Daddy. She shaked. She fetched. She also had a sweet personality too.
After I broke the news gently to the boys that there was absolutely no way we could keep her, Chef Daddy bought a Sunday newspaper. We never buy the newspaper any more because we read the news online. However, there just happened to be mini golden doodles in the paper that day. I immediately called the number in the ad and the rest is history!
Ozzy will be delivered to our house later this afternoon! They are bringing four boys for us to pick from. Since I essentially named the kids, I told Chef Daddy that he could name our furry family. Accordingly, Ozzy is being named after Chef Daddy's favorite rock singer, Ozzy Osbourne! Our house may just turn into a crazy train!

Ozzy (I think this is the one we have both agreed on) and his brother! He even looks like the magnet we have had hanging on our frig for years!
Ozzy's four sisters! The first one is my favorite, but she is more expensive!

Boo at the Zoo!
Last Tuesday night, the kids and I attended our local zoo's annual fundraiser, "Boo at the Zoo." This was Kamree's first time attending and she had a super great time! Although it was a little chilly that night, we enjoyed trick or treating throughout our little zoo! Unfortunately, Chef Daddy was working in Omaha that day so he couldn't join us.

The Wedding Weekend!
We enjoyed spending Carson's fall break with Grandpa and Grandma Leader. However, before I post pictures from last week (Boo at the Zoo, fall break and Halloween), I wanted to post a few from the previous weekend. Cory's brother, Uncle David, recently got married in a small town about 45 minutes away. We enjoyed the wedding festivities, however, my favorite part of the weekend was staying in the local bed and breakfast after the wedding. Our family had the entire hotel, including the bar in the basement, and we enjoyed hanging out there before and after the wedding. The kids had a blast having the run of the hotel, and we all enjoyed Grandma Merina's and Aunt Michelle's egg casseroles, homemade cinnamon rolls and fruit before going home on Sunday.
Grandma Merina made Kamree's dress and it was soooo cute! Thanks again, Grandma Merina!
before the wedding in the bar in the basement!
They wore their new Christmas PJs. I almost wore mine!
